Last week Ubisoft releasedd an amazing announcement trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla — the latest entry in the critically acclaimed, and award-winning Assassin's Creed series — and players embraced it immediately. The trailer looked great, and the new setting was promising.

Some of that enthusiam got stunted yesterday, as Ubisoft released a gameplay trailer for the reently announced Assassin's Creed title that had barely any gameplay in it, which disappointed a bunch of fans; prompting them to dislike the video on Ubisoft's official YouTube channel.

The gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla did have some gameplay in it, but it was not the kind of gameplay that players thought the trailer would feature — which, to be quite fair, is what Ubisoft had promised the day prior to the release of the controversial trailer.

With that said, the trailer that Ubisoft released yesterday for the game is not a bad trailer at all, it only fails to meet the expectations that the developer itself had promised to deliver.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Creative Director Ashraf Ismail has since addressed the issue, letting fans of the series know that they will be giving players an in-depth gameplay look of the game rather sooner than later, and also acknowledging that fans had all the right to expect more from them.

"You rightfully expected to see more today. We have a long marketing campaign ahead of us, you will see in-depth gameplay and get a lot more info about the game. Thank you for your excitement and passion! Be patient with us and be kind. It will be worth it!," explained Ismail on his personal Twitter account.

It is nice to see companies addressing things like this in such manner, and without antagonising their fan-base, unlike other video game developers that lately have received a lot of backlash from fans.

Fans of the Assassin's Creed series will more than likely appreciate Ismail's words, since there's still more to come, and knowing that the developer hasn't turned its back on them is definitely reassuring; Assassin's Creed Valhalla is in good hands.
