Ubisoft has announced today that Assassin's Creed Valhalla is being pushed forward, and will no longer be releasing on the 17th of November as originally intended, but on Tuesday the 10th of November — which is the same day the highly anticipated Xbox Series X hits store shelves.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla isn't exclusively releasing early on Xbox Series X, as the game will also become available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, PC, and Stadia — although the release date on PlayStation 5 has yet to be confirmed; mainly because Sony hasn't revealed when their next-gen console will become available either.
That wasn't the only news Ubisoft had in store for players, as they have also confirmed that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will run at 60FPS in 4K resolution on Xbox Series X, which is actually a pleasant surprise, since they had previously mentioned that the game would only run at 30FPS on Microsoft's next-gen console.
Well, Ubisoft technically said that Assassin's Creed Valhalla would run at a minimum of 30FPS on the Xbox Series X, but they didn't commit to 60FPS at the time, so their ambiguous comment was still very open to misinterpretation; that's all on you, Ubisoft.
"With the Xbox Series X | S, Assassin's Creed Valhalla will take full advantage of the enhanced graphics, giving players the opportunity to experience the open world of Norway and England down to the very last detail. On Xbox Series X, Assassin's Creed Valhalla will run at 60 FPS in full 4K resolution," revealed Assassin's Creed Valhalla Producer Julien Laferrière in an official press release issued by Ubisoft.
We still have no idea if Assassin's Creed Valhalla will also run at 60FPS in 4K resolution on the PlayStation 5, although it wouldn't be a tretch to believe that this will, indeed be the case. All we need is for Sony to reveal their next-gen console's release date for Ubisoft to share more information on the PlayStation 5's version of the game.
