Telltale, best known for the choice-based adventure game adaptations of Fable and The Walking Dead has released details on their upcoming Batman video game at E3 2016. Here's the previously released details we already knew about the game:
-
Telltale described the series as, "a fresh interpretation of the universe set in current times." The game will not be based on any previous comic storylines, television shows or films. The game will be unrelated to any previous canon.
-
Each night, players will make choices to change the future of Gotham. The catch? Players will have to decide whether it's better to take action as Batman or billionaire head of Wayne Enterprises, Bruce Wayne.
-
Each decision will deeply affect Gotham and Batman's relationship with the various characters in the game and determine whether some head down a path of redemption or corruption.
-
Supporting characters confirmed thus far include Alfred Pennyworth, Vicki Vale, James Gordon and Renee Montoya. Telltale declined to reveal who would be the villain of the games.
-
The game will be rated M (17+).

Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner stated, "We've been hard at work at Telltale creating an all-new iteration of the iconic Batman story that puts players in the suit of billionaire Bruce Wayne, just as much as it will put them behind the mask, deciding how to carefully navigate a complex drama, rich with action, crime, corruption, and villainy lurking around every corner of Gotham City."
