Ubisoft has announced that For Honor Year 5 Season 3 "Tempest" will be available starting next week, September 9th, 2021. They have also announced that a special throwback event will happen later in season 3, as well as the return of the Covenant Games.
"Tempest" is set to bring harsh torrential rains and cyclonic winds after the intense drought that has plagued Year 5 Seasn 2 Mirage. Heathmoor's warriors have wished for water, and the Gods have answered, but not in the way that the warriors expected or wanted. Gigantic tidal waves wreck Heathmoor's villages and harbours along the coastlines.
There will be a limited time launch event, Storm Tides, beginning September 9th and running through September 30th. During the event players will be able to play through a Free Event Pass and will have access to rewards such as a new Battle Outfit, Effects, and an Ornament. There will also be new weapons available to loot.
Players will be able to purchase a Battle Pass that will include premium content including new Battle Outfits, Ornaments, Executions, Podiums, and Effects. There will also be a unique execution available to heroes for 7,000 Steel. There will also be another phase of Testing Grounds from September 16th - 30th. It will focus on a second pass on the Shniobi from the previous phase, as well as a new Dominion Game Mode improvements.
Players can expect to see "Wrath of the Jormungandr" later in Season 3, a throwback event with its original weapons and rewards.
"Covenant Games" will return with Title Update 2 and players will have the opportunity to play the Heralds of Chimera game mode and prove their worth to Daubeny. Rewards for the throwback event includ a Battle Outfit and Ornament.
For Honor is currently available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox X | S, and Windows PC.
