It seems there's a bit of a Ghostbusters resurgence what with Ghostbusters: Afterlife having debuted in theatres last month and now this; a new Ghostbusters video game is apparently in the works.
One of the original Ghostbusters, Ernie Hudson, recently featured at Celebrity Fan Fest (via Ghostbusters News) in San Antonio, Texas. There, during a Q&A panel, the actor was asked whether he would like to be involved with another video game to which he frankly revealed that there's already one in the works.
Apparently, Hudson has received prototype images featuring his likeness for his approval and is in talks to do voice work. According to the actor, he won't be the only OG Ghostbuster involved. He seems to think Dan Akroyd will be involved but is uncertain when it comes to Bill Murray.
"I just got an e-mail, because we're doing another video game. So, they're scheduling it now to do the recording, and I'm not too sure who's going to do it, I know me and Danny [Akroyd], I think. I'm not sure if Billy [Murray] will do anything on it. So, there will be another video game."
Additionally, he mentioned that the developers were having particular difficulty adapting his likeness to the virtual medium as opposed to the other classic Ghostbusters. Based on that it seems this video game will be more in line with the classic films than the aforementioned modern reboot of the series.
