Following the recent report of
the Taiwanese Game Software Rating website, we have more proof that the rumored remaster of
Ghostbusters: The Video Game is real and coming out on September 13th.
According to
the Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee and Epic Games Korea, said remaster is legitimate, and if Epic Games' claims are true, the title will be another Epic Games Store exclusive – but the upcoming version of
Ghostbusters is also headed to Xbox One (and possibly PS4).
The PC editions of
Octopath Traveller and
Sunset Overdrive were also first leaked by the Korean GRB.
Considering that the original launched for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, and PC on June 19, 2009, the acclaimed game's 10th anniversary would definitely be a great moment to announce a proper remaster of the beloved last-gen video game.
As a reminder, 2009's
Ghostbusters was our last chance to embark on a journey with the original cast before the death of Harold Ramis, who played Egon Spengler in 1984's
Ghostbusters and 1989's
Ghostbusters II. The title also featured Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson reprising their roles.
