The critically acclaimed 2016 reboot of
Hitman is officially getting a sequel after a series of smaller and bigger leaks, elegantly titled
Hitman 2 (don't confuse it with 2002’s
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin), developer IO Interactive and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today.
Hitman 2 will arrive November 13 and will let you enter a world of assassination one more time.
It was also confirmed that this time the game will not be episodic or focused on "seasons," like the last
Hitman.
Hitman 2 will release all at once as a complete game with six mini-campaigns, including a Miami chapter where you will try to kill your targets during an international motorsport race and it's the main focus of the CGI announcement trailer featuring voice-over from actor Sean Bean.
Hitman 2 will also offer a new gameplay mode,
Sniper Assassin, bringing online co-op to the series for the first time as two players will team up for long-ranged sniper-based missions to eliminate targets from afar
. Sniper Assassin is available to play now as a pre-order incentive for
Hitman 2. Take a look:
Travel the globe and track your targets across exotic sandbox locations in HITMAN 2. From sun-drenched streets to dark and dangerous rainforests, nowhere is safe from the world’s most creative assassin, Agent 47 in the ultimate spy thriller story.
