Since the early days of Playstation, the Hitman franchise has been there to remind fans that the job of being a professional killer is a lot harder than it looks. From disguises to creating the perfect hit, there are a lot of moving parts to consider. The art of this was later perfected in the reboot title, Hitman.
When the new franchise kickstarted, the game put the fun of the missions in the hands of the player, and it became an entertaining race of who could complete a level in the fastest time. The success later spawned the sequel Hitman 2, which, of course, expanded on this idea in new ways.
For some time, fans have been aware of the third installment that is coming to consoles, but not much news had been revealed until today's Nintendo Direct Mini Showcase. During the showcase, fans were shown a new trailer of Hitman 3, but with the added bonus of the game being available for hte Nintendo Switch through a Cloud only version!
Since the game requires a steady internet connection to play, the game's developers at IO Interactive are allowing fans to try the game out through a free launcher app to see if it is for them. There is still much to know before the game's release, but we would love to hear your thoughts on it in the comments below!
The goal of Hitman 3 is to finally eliminate the partners of Providence, and 47 has to team up with his handler Diana Burnwood, as well as his long-lost friend Lucas Grey, to get that done. Outside of all the locations from previous games, the reveal trailer detailed one new location, Dubai.
Hitman 3 will arrive on the Nintendo Switch next year!
