Ahead of Spider-Man 2's release this Fall, Hasbro Pulse has shared a first look at its upcoming Miles Morales action figure.
The costume hasn't changed much since we last saw it in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but that was to be expected when Miles created this suit after Peter Parker gifted him one he used to wear. However, we're sure the teenager will get some upgrades as the story progresses, especially with villains like Venom and Kraven the Hunter set to take centre stage.
One big talking point here is the fact Miles is joined by a cat; we have a feeling that's Spider-Man the cat, though it's hard to say for sure when he's not wearing his mask. Still, the feline being an accessory certainly seems to suggest Spider-Cat will swing back into action alongside Miles, something we're sure many of you will be very happy about.
Beyond that, we don't learn much, though it has been confirmed that the figure will be available starting August 1.
"With Peter Parker as his mentor, Miles Morales discovers allies and enemies as the newest Spider-Man," reads the official product description. "This collectable 6-inch-scale Marvel Legends figure is detailed to look like the Miles Morales character from the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 video game, featuring premium detail, multiple points of articulation, and 7 gaming-inspired accessories, including alternate hands ready to web-sling!"
After Venom actor Tony Todd recently confirmed that Spider-Man 2 is eyeing a September release, we expect a first proper look at the sequel to arrive any day now.
Spider-Man was incredible, but Spider-Man: Miles Morales showed up just what Insomniac's franchise is capable of on the current generation of hardware. With that in mind, we expect the game to push the boundaries and deliver a really special experience for the web-slinger's fans.
