Insomniac Games and PlayStation have revealed new details about what we can expect from Spider-Man 2, including near-instant switching between Peter Parker and Miles Morales, the unexpected addition of Mysterio, and the fact this game will feature a whopping 65 suits!
With Queens and Brooklyn now part of the map, the area we can explore is nearly twice as big as Manhattan. Across the East River, there will be new story missions, side quests, and city activities, with the Web Wings making it easier to get around faster.
In terms of new powers, it's said that "Pete's new Symbiote powers and Spider-Arms are aggressive and relentless." As for Miles, "[he] brings an electrifying and thunderous quality to his bioelectric venom power, as well as Evolved venom abilities."
Now, about those suits. It's been confirmed that we're getting a total of 65 in this game, ranging from new original designs to those pulled from the movies and comic books. Insomniac has also revealed plans for "Suit Styles," a new feature which "unlocks alternate color shaders for some suits, which provide over 200 ways for you to outfit your Spider-hero!"
Among the 10 new costumes revealed today are the Apunkalyptic Suit, Stone Monkey Suit, Tactical Suit, Aurantia Suit, 25th Century Suit, The EnC0ded Suit, Biomechanical Suit, Red Spectre Suit, Tokusatsu Suit, and Agimat Suit.

As for Mysterio, he's teased in these new videos showcasing the larger map and new gameplay features. We're also hearing rumblings that Eddie Brock definitely isn't part of Spider-Man 2 but hope to bring you more details on that soon.
"Spider-Men Peter Parker and Miles Morales face the ultimate test of strength inside and outside the mask as they fight to save the city, each other, and the ones they love," reads the game's synopsis, "from the monstrous Venom and the dangerous new symbiote threat."
"Explore an expansive Marvel's New York with faster web-swinging and the all-new Web Wings, quickly switching between Peter and Miles to experience different stories, epic new abilities and high-tech gear."
"Wield Peter's symbiote abilities and Miles' explosive bio-electric powers in battle against new and iconic Marvel Super Villains," it continues, "including an original take on a symbiote-infused Venom, the ruthless Kraven the Hunter, the volatile Lizard, and more from the Marvel Rogues' Gallery."
Spider-Man 2 swings into stores on October 20.
