Skybound Games has promised fans that more information regarding the remaining two episodes in Telltale's
The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be shared soon.
The gaming extension of Skybound Entertainment
announced back in October that they had reached an agreement with the now-closed Telltale Games studio to take over the remainder of
The Walking Dead: The Final Season to ensure that fans of the video game series get a proper conclusion. Telltale Games had shuttered its doors with two episodes remaining in the final season. According to the developer's original schedule shared in August, the third episode called "
Broken Toys" was supposed to release on November 6, followed by the fourth and final episode "
Take Us Back" on December 18th.
In a recent Q&A, Skybound Games CEO Ian Howe estimated that Episode 3 would be released before the end of the year.
“OK, given that you guys have been so supportive and patient, I'm going out on a limb and will say yes, I fully expect Episode 3 to be this year and I'll be very disappointed if we can't make that happen,” Howe said during a Q&A session on Reddit in October.
Skybound Games did not provide an exact timeframe for when they will make their eagerly awaited announcement, but you can check out their teaser post below.
Clementine, now a fierce and capable survivor, has reached the final chapter in her journey. After years on the road facing threats both living and dead, a secluded school might finally be her chance for a home. But protecting it will mean sacrifice. Clem must build a life and become a leader while still watching over AJ, an orphaned boy and the closest thing to family she has left. In this gripping and emotional final season, you will define your relationships, fight the undead, and determine how Clementine’s story ends.
Although episodes one and two of
The Walking Dead: The Final Season have already been released, the season for the game is not available at the moment since the future is still in question.
