Auroch Digital has officially announced that Warhammer Survivors, the fast-paced roguelite survival game set in the Warhammer universes, is heading to consoles. The title will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch (both original and Switch 2 models), and Steam later in 2026.
The announcement was made during the latest Triple-i Initiative showcase, where the developer also revealed new content coming to the game, including fresh playable characters, weapons, and a brand-new enemy faction: the Orks. Check out the trailer below:
Warhammer Survivors puts players in the shoes of powerful champions from both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar. You battle against endless hordes of enemies in classic survivor-style gameplay, collecting power-ups, unlocking new abilities, and surviving increasingly difficult waves.
Key features include:
- Iconic characters such as the Space Marine Sternguard Veteran Malum Caedo and the lightning-forged Stormcast Eternal Neave Blacktalon.
- Signature weapons like the Boltgun, Astartes Chainsword, Whirlwind Axes, and Nuln Oil.
- Diverse battlegrounds ranging from the ashen plains of Aqshy to derelict Space Hulks.
- Hidden secrets and powerful upgrades to discover in each stage.
The upcoming update adds the brutal Orks as a new enemy faction, promising even more chaotic and challenging horde battles.
While no exact release date was provided, Auroch Digital confirmed that Warhammer Survivors will arrive on all major platforms later this year. This multi-platform approach should give fans across PC and console a chance to experience the addictive survivor gameplay in the Warhammer setting.
The game joins a growing list of Warhammer titles receiving console support, following the success of Space Marine 2 and its recent Techmarine Update in February 2026.
Warhammer Survivors offers a different flavor of gameplay compared to the mainline strategy or action games in the franchise. Its roguelite structure, character variety, and focus on surviving overwhelming enemy waves make it an accessible yet deep entry point for both longtime Warhammer enthusiasts and players new to the universe.
The addition of the Orks as a new enemy type, combined with fresh champions and weapons, shows that Auroch Digital is committed to expanding the game’s content even before its full console debut.
Console players who have been waiting for a Warhammer survivor-style game no longer need to look elsewhere. With a unified release planned across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, Warhammer Survivors is shaping up to be one of the more interesting indie-style releases of 2026.
