Capcom has announced that
Ducktales Remastered — the HD remaster of the
Ducktales game based on the Disney's popular animated series from the late 80s — is now back on digital storefronts; giving fans the chance to purchase this phenomenal game one more time.
What is somewhat disappointing, however, is the fact that
Ducktales Remastered is only becoming available for the PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One(via backwards compatibility), and Steam — as Capcom hasn't made the game available on current gen consoles.
Ducktales Remastered was pulled from online stores in August of last year, so it is definitely surprising to see Capcom bringing it back. If this was thanks to popular demand, they better announce the game for current gen consoles, since most players who didn't get the chance to purchase the game on previous consoles have already moved onto theit newer iterations.
Go back to one of the golden ages of gaming, but now refined with a level of detail that will please the most devoted Disney or retro Capcom fan, alike. Featuring hand-drawn animated sprites, authentic Disney character voices talent and richly painted level backgrounds from the classic cartoon TV series, Scrooge McDuck and family come to life like never before. The gameplay retains the authenticity of its 8-bit predecessor, simple and fun, with slight modifications to improve gameplay flow and design.
Ducktales Remastered is currently available for the PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One (via Backwards Compatibility), and Steam.
