Remedy Entertainment's highly anticipated supernatural metroidvania
Control takes place in only one interconnected building – known as the Federal Bureau of Control – but it definitely isn't your ordinary government headquarters. After a fatal alien outbreak, the old brutalist building has changed dramatically, with gates to alternate dimensions, worlds, and timelines being completely opened.
In
Control, you play as Jesse Faden, the newly appointed Director of the Bureau. Following the death of your former boss, you're the one who can solve the big mystery of his demise and face the unknown alien force, called the Hiss. That dark and aggressive entity quickly possesses everything that is unfortunate enough to come in its devastating path, craving to gain as much power as possible.
To have a chance in that uneven battle, Jesse will use the Service Weapon, an insanely powerful tool that can be handled only be the Director, which means that it's basically Remedy's modern take on the Excalibur. But even with the gun and her
Dark Phoenix-like superpowers (telekinesis and mind control included), Jesse will have to put everything she has on the line to save the planet from the aliens.
Game Informer has shared a bunch of never-before-seen concept art for
