Brawlhalla is a free-to-play fighting game which released back in 2015 — that's available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and PC. It's developed by Blue Mammoth Games and published by Ubisoft.
Earlier today, the studio announced an official crossover and collaboration with
Steven Universe. The animated series concluded back in January but was continued in September with
Steven Universe The Movie and will be further followed-up with
Steven Universe Future which is another animated series that will be premiering in December.
Lead characters Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, and Stevonnie (a fused combo of Steven and Connie) are now playable characters in
Brawlhalla. Technically, they're mirrors of existing fighters but feature their own visuals and animations. These mirror fighters will cost 300 Mammoth Coins (or $11.50).
There's also a new gamemode called Bubble Tag which will involve teams of three going up against each other, trying to capture each other's Gem Bubbles. Below is an official description of the new fighters and a trailer for the crossover (courtesy of
Ubisoft North America):
Garnet – An Epic Crossover for Petra, she is gem fusion made from a true kind of love. Garnet is 'stronger than you' with signature attacks that use her rocket gauntlets and energy blasts.
Amethyst – Amethyst mirrors Xull. An independent spirit and loyal friend, Amethyst arrives with signature attacks that use her whips as traps and grabs, plus her Purple Puma form!
Pearl – This Epic Crossover mirrors Brawlhalla Legend Kaya, with signature attacks Holo-Pearl and Holo-Rose Quartz. She uses her spear and bow to make players strong in the real way.
Stevonnie – Not two people, not one person, but an experience, Stevonnie mirrors Brawlhalla legend Val with signature attacks that summons their magical pink lion and bubble shield. Let’s jam!
