Nintendo has recently announced, in the financial results briefing for their fiscal year, that they will be streaming a live presentation instead of the large-scale conference for investors during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo; much like they have done in previous years.
For the Japanese company, Nintendo Direct presentations have become their go-to format when revealing upcoming titles and making new announcements of any kinds; a format that other companies like Square Enix and Sony have also decided to adopt.
Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa also revealed that their Direct presentation for this year's E3 will only feature titles that are coming out during this fiscal year.
"Once again, Nintendo will not be hosting a large-scale conference for institutional investors, securities analysts, and the media. Instead, we plan to continue our practice of the past few years, which is to release a video presentation discussing the games that are planned for release during the fiscal year, provide hands-on opportunities, and so on."
This isn't to say that there won't be any new titles being announced during their presentation, but it is likely that they will only be focusing on games that they have already announced. Nintendo has also revealed that they won't be making any announcements in regards to new hardware, so it is best that Nintendo fans keep their expectations in check for this year's E3; then again, Nintendo always manages to surprise us all with their out of left field announcements.
