Streets of Rage 4 was announced back in August of this year; bringing back, after almost 25 years, all of that classic beat 'em up action the
Streets of Rage series is known for. The game is now being developed by Lizardcube and Guard Crush, as Sega is not as involved as it was with the previous titles.
One of the many things that got fans of the classic
Streets of Rage beat 'em up excited—besides the announcement of the new game, of course—is the beautiful hand-drawn art style
Streets of Rage 4 is sporting, which gives it a very unique look that fits the series' tone perfectly.
Today, Lizardcube has released 4 awesome-looking screenshots for the highly anticipated
Streets of Rage 4, showing off the game's beautiful hand-drawn style and the amount of detail that the developers have put into the game.
Featuring hand-drawn visuals from the team behind 2017’s gorgeous Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap remake, Streets of Rage 4 builds upon the classic trilogy’s gameplay with new mechanics, a fresh story and a gauntlet of dangerous stages with a serious crime problem.
Streets of Rage 4 will be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in 2019.
