BlazBlue is a fighting game series developed and published by Arc System Works(
Guilty Gear,
Dragon Ball FighterZ) that originally came out for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows back in 2008.
The
BlazBlue series has always featured some clean art style with very detailed sprites, giving the games a very unique look that is rarely seen in fighting games these days—which is nice considering that their other big fighting series,
Guilty Gear, has now moved away from that style(albeit still looks great).
In the ltest video released by Arc System Works, we get
BlazBlue series creator Mori Toshimichi talking about fighting games in general, what he thinks is important when picking a character for the first time, and how they managed to make a proper combat system for
BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle without it being overwhelming for players—keeping in mind that the game features characters from other series such as
Persona 4,
Under Night In-Birth,
RWBY and
BlazBlue.
