RUMOR: MARVEL VS CAPCOM: INFINITE Roster Leaked?
Ryu, Morrigan and Mega-Man are confirmed for Capcom while Captain Marvel, Iron Man and Captain America as Marvel combatants, a new rumor purportedly reveals the next 8 characters to be revealed.
It appears that marketing for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is about to kick into high gear as a GameStop employee has taken to NeoGAF to reveal a boat load of maret and promo materials are being shipped to stores nationwide. With that news speculation on the game's roster has begun however, one rumor states that the next 8 characters to be revealed are Ultron, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon, Chun-Li, Chris Refield and Strider. With Marvel receiving 5 characters to Capcom's 3, some fans are worried that the popularity of the Marvel movies will result in their being more Marvel characters in than Capcom favorites.
As previously reported, Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is expected to be released late-2017.
A press event for the game was held last week in Germany and Capcom's embargo for coverage on the event reportedly lifts sometime this week.
ABOUT MARVEL VS CAPCOM: INFINITE
Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is an upcoming fighting game from Capcom that will be released in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game will feature characters from Marvel Comics and Capcoms stable of video game fan favorites, in an epic 2-on-2 brawl, with an additional third special character available for assists.
The video game will feature a storyline centered around Marvel's Infinity Stones, which characters will be able to acquire in battle and use for power-ups and special abilities.
The game was officially announced during the PlayStation Experience (PSX) fan event on December 3, 2016. Six characters have been confirmed thus far including Mega Man, Ryu, Morrigna, Captain Marvel, Iron Man and Captain America.
