Back in January,
Capcom was celebrating the anniversary of Moster Hunter World — Capcom's best-selling title of all time, with over over 7.5 million units sold as of May 9th of 2018 — and they announced a bunch of collaborations with other renowned franchises like
The Witcher and
Assassin's Creed, to name only but a few.
As they celebrated the game's anniversary, they also announced Iceborne, which they referred to as
Monster Hunter World's biggest expansion yet, and today Capcom has finally released a new gameplay trailer for it.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will become available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the
6th of September, with the PC version being released at some point this Winter.
This expansion includes a completely new story set after the events of the
World with the Elder Crossing phenomena, new environments, returning monsters, and obviously some new monsters to hunt.
For those who still don't own a copy of
Monster Hunter World, they can go for the physical version of
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Deluxe edition will also be released, which will come in a premium Steelbook that features new monsters Velkhana and Nergigante. Both the
Master and
Deluxe editions will also be available digitally.
Players who already own a copy of
Monster Hunter World will only need to purchase the expansion from the PlayStation and Xbox One's respective online stores.
