Fans of Capcom and Monster Huner Wilds have a reason to rejoice, and it is that Capcom has just announced a very large, open beta test will be available on all platforms. Following a tease of a special livestream event, Capcom took to the show to confirm that PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam players would soon be invited into the game for a cross-play test-meaning, gamers across different platforms can start playing with each other.
PS5 players with a PS Plus subscription will enjoy the privilege of trying out the beta first. This seems to be a part of the marketing agreement between Capcom and PlayStation, although this has happened in the past for different game releases. The beta goes live on October 29th through October 31st with a PS Plus subscription, moving ahead to give the player an advantage in action.
For the rest, the open beta will start properly on November 1 and go through until November 4. That means, in a nutshell, while PlayStation 5 users get a peek first, everyone else will be along shortly. And to add insult to injury, PS players get to take part in the general open beta and a PlayStation 5-specific test to boot-so by all means, they are covered.
The final part is sure to thrill veteran players. In the Doshaguma Hunt, you’ll set out to track and take down the alpha of the Doshaguma pack, which introduces a brand-new monster to the series.
As a thank-you for participating in the Open Beta, this adorable Felyne pendant will join weapon or be displayed in the final game as a fun collectible-a sort of memento to all players who joined in on the beta to give them bragging rights for being in on the development process early. Besides that, all character creation data created by players in the open beta will be transferred to the full game-so one can jump straight into the action without needing to redo the work. That's a great way to have players experiment and go all out with the demo, knowing their efforts are not a waste.
Players will also have the ability to use the SOS Flare to team up and explore online with fellow gamers. If the matchmaking doesn’t find anyone, you’ll be paired with three bots for assistance. This feature is designed to make the game more accessible for newcomers. Plus, crossplay will be active during the test!
As a special bonus, participants in the open beta will receive a unique pendant to customize their weapons or seikret.
