Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid was released in March of last year, giving players a pretty solid fighting game that featured a rather decent roster of characters. Developer nWay revealed that they still had a lot of things in store for the game, and that more content was definitely coming its way.

In February of this year, in fact, nWay revealed that Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid had now become what the developer had always envisioned — after having release quite the handful of content that added more characters and stages that made it a proper fighting game; most of them free updates, mind you.

Developer nWay has some great news for fans of the game, as they have just announced that Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid will be getting a Season 3 very soon, which will see Robert "RJ" James(Jungle Fury Purple Ranger) and Lauren Shiba(Super Samurai Red Ranger) joining the game's roster.

A third character that has yet to be revealed — you can't fool us, nWay, we now it is Scorpina — will also join Jungle Fury Purple Ranger and Super Samurai Red Ranger, although the developer has yet to reveal the release date the game's Season 3.

The developers do reveal that the first release will happen at some point by the end of June, and this update will include RJ, Dai Shi skin, Samurai Megazord, and the Megazord Revamp. It is also worth mentioning that players will be able to purchase each of the three new characters individually for $5.99 USD, and that Season 3 Pass will cost $14.99 USD.

Not everything in Season 3 will be paid content, though, since New Ultra: Samurai Megazord and the Megazord Revamp will be added to Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid completely free of charge.

Season 3 Content

Season 3 features a mix of free and paid add-on content:

-Three New Characters:
Robert “RJ” James, Jungle Fury Purple Ranger

Originally trained under his father, Master Finn, RJ rejected the Shark Style and adopted the wolf spirit instead.

Lauren Shiba, Super Samurai Red Ranger

Spending her life to master the sealing symbol, Lauren’s singular goal was to return and lead the Samurai Rangers.

To-Be-Revealed Third Character

-New Character Skin: Phantom Beast King skin for Dai Shi

With his new power and the Phantom Beast Generals, Dai Shi was finally able to defeat the Rangers.

-New Ultra (Free): Samurai Megazord

We are united! Call up the power of the Samurai Megazord to assist your team in battle.

-Megazord Revamp (Free)

Megazord Ultra activation conditions have been revamped. Instead of requiring at least one character to be knocked out, you can now activate your Ultra based on the consumption of the Megazord Revenge Meter.

For over 25 years Power Rangers has been one of the most popular franchises in the world. As a perennial Top 10 NPD Action Brand, the globally renowned brand has spawned hit TV shows, movies, toys, comics, live entertainment and games.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam.
