After a long six years of wait since SoulCalibur V was released, we are finally getting SoulCalibur VI this Friday; taking us back to the stage of history...quite literally since this game will actually be taking us back to the events of the original SoulCalibur.

Today, Bandai Namco has released a new trailer that goes over every single one of the features that SoulCalibur VI has to offer; from game modes, playable characters, and story, to character creation and online battle.

Like every title released prior to SoulCalibur VI, the latest entry will also be featuring an Arcade mode, which will have players fighting a line-up of 8 CPU characters in classic arcade style. Versus mode won't be sitting this one out either, and players will be able to take on their friends in some epic sword fighting matches.

SoulCalibur VI features a roster of 21 playable characters, with new additions like Azwell and Groh, and even guest characters like CD Projekt RED's Gueralt of Rivia from The Witcher series.

The game is also somewhat of a soft reboot to the series, being SoulCalibur VI a retelling of the events in the original SoulCalibur game. Soul Chronicle is SoulCalibur VI's story mode, which will begin rewriting history and giving us a new take on the series moving forward.

SoulCalibur VI is also introducing the brand new Libra of Soul mode, which will have players creating their very own, fully customisable SoulCalibur avatar with a unique story that unfolds as players battle through special missions. On that note, Character Creation is a brand new feature that SoulCalibur VI is introducing, which will allow players to fully customise their character's appearance, as well as their unique fighting style.

Online Battle is also making a comeback in SoulCalibur VI, and players will be able to fight in Ranked and Casual matches, as well as viewing their previous battles in Replay, and view their online Ranking.

As if that wasan't enough, SoulCalibur VI also has a Museum, which features character info, an expansive Library with various content, and a Gallery featuring documents, art, movies, music, and strategy.
