It seems that Bandai Namco are really going the extra mile to make
SoulCalibur VI a memorable game—like every previous title in the series, to be honest—as game producer Motohiro Okubo teases a new Single-Player mode being added to the game.
This new Single-Player mode will be an addition to the game's Story Mode and will likely add even more extra information to the story. The news comes from Japanese site
Ryokutya2089, via
Gematsu, which shares a bit of information coming from the game's producer, Mr. Okubo, who said: "
We’re preparing another major single-player mode, but I can’t say anything yet".
The site also mentions that Story Mode will be called Soul Chronicle and will be adding new episodes to the series' origins. This perfectly agrees with the
interview posted by Bandai Namco yesterday in which Mr. Okubo revealed that
SoulCalibur VI is taking place in between
SoulCalibur and
SoulCalibur II as they felt like the original story wasn't depicted as well as it could've been. The site also reveals that the game's story will be shown using 2D and 3D demo scenes—eventually leading to a battle—featuring different scenarios depending on the character chosen.
SOULCALIBUR VI represents the latest entry in the premier weapons-based, head-to-head fighting series and continues the epic struggle of warriors searching for the legendary Soul Swords. Taking place in the 16th century, revisit the events of the original SOULCALIBUR to uncover hidden truths.
SoulCalibur VI will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on the 19th of October.
