For a parody character inspired by Robert and Ryo Sakazaki from SNK's Art of Fighting, Dan Hibiki has become quite the beloved character in Capcom's Street Fighter series, which is one of the reasons why fans were disappointed when Capcom didn't include him in Street Fighter V.
Dan was originally introduced as a Street Fighter Alpha series character, and made his debut in the mainline series when Street Fighter IV hit consoles back in 2009, and Capcom announced last month that they were finally bringing him back as part of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition's Season 5.
While Capcom's announcement for Season 5 of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition only gave us a few seconds of gameplay footage showing off Dan, the developer reassured players that the beloved character would be releasing at some point this Winter.
Today Capcom has released a character preview that finally gives us a proper first look at Dan Hibiki in action, showing off some of his flashy, and ridiculously charming moves that even includes his awesome Legendary Taunt.
No official release date for Dan Hibiki was revealed, though, but the video will still manage to get fans of the Saikyo Style master excited for his debut in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition this Winter. Fingers crossed for Capcom to release a gameplay trailer for Dan soon.
