An Alien: Isolation R-rated animated TV series may be currently in the works according to the latest rumor doing the rounds. According to sources, this new animated series would be a rather short one; featuring only seven episodes for its first season.
Axis Animation would be, allegedly, the studio behind this new Alien: Isolation based animated series, although — at the time of writing this article — the studio has failed to confirm or deny these rumors. For reference, Axis Animation is the same studio that was in charge of the VFX featured in the 2014 Alien: Isolation video game.
If this rumor was to be believed, an Alien: Isolation animated series being only 7 episodes long is actually a great idea; especially since it could end up giving it a slightly more low-budget feel to it, which is something that would fit the ALien universe to a perfect T.
Details about this rumored Alien: Isolation R-rated animated series are pretty vague, so it is uncertain whether this series would be an adaptation, or a direct sequel to the video game. We'll just have to wait for Axis Animation or 20th Century Fox to shed some light on this.
