ALIEN Twitter Account Continues To Hint At The Return Of Amanda Ripley & Thereby A Sequel To ALIEN: ISOLATION
The official Twitter account for the Alien franchise has yet again tweeted out a cryptic video which seems to be hinting at the return of Amanda Ripley and thereby a sequel to Alien: Isolation.
Yesterday we reported that the official Twitter account of the Alien franchise (@AlienAnthology) dropped a mysterious teaser which seemed to be hinting at a sequel to Alien: Isolation, and now they're back at it again.
Similar to the previous tease, the tweet and video itself seems to be beckoning the return of Amanda Ripley, the protagonist of the 2014 video-game Alien: Isolation and the daughter of Ellen Ripley (the iconic lead character in the Alien movies - of which Isolation is a spinoff from).
Check out the tweet below:
This tweet features the hashtag "January" seemingly hinting at a fully-fledged announcement to come within this month. The new tweet and previous one both feature a hashtag which reads "ReadPlayWatch", seemingly referencing the various forms of media which this teaser could apply to.
As mentioned in the prior report; this tweet could be hinting at a novel or movie featuring Amanda Ripley. However, given her origin, it's most likely teasing a follow-up video game - perhaps the rumoured Alien: Blackout - the end of the attached clip even seems to feature in-game shots of Amanda.
What do you think of the mysterious tweet? Would you like these cryptic tweets to be referring to a sequel to Alien: Isolation?
