The second chapter of
Tides of War, the
Battlefield V post-launch support phase, titled
Lightning Strikes was released last month, featuring
Squad Conquest, where 16 players (two squads per team) fight for map domination. That's not all, as
Battlefield V is bringing co-op back in a major way with
Combined Arms, in which you join forces with up to three friends to finish a series of explosive missions across several maps as you and your squad will fight against A.I. controlled players in various challenges.
EA announced today that the
Combined Arms mode will launch next week, but we still don't know when, exactly. In
CA, you will be visiting four of the game’s multiplayer maps in four unique mission types, but that’s everything what we know about it so far. When the game was announced in April, EA mentioned "
procedurally generated missions," but it's unclear if that's the route DICE has taken.
At its core,
Tides of War is a premium pass-less live service that gives players access to new content released periodically, as this initiative is supposed to tell an overarching narrative, at least according to EA. The
Battle Royale mode that was teased during EA PLAY 2018 won't launch until March as it will be included in the third chapter,
Trial by Fire. In the meantime, take a look at
Combined Arms down
