Following the incredible success of Respawn Entertainment’s take on the battle royale genre in
Apex Legends (with over 50 million registered players), EA is hoping to repeat that amazing achievement in
Battlefield V: Firestorm – the shooter's highly anticipated
PUBG-esque mode that will finally launch this Monday. Considering that
Firestorm was announced at EA PLAY 2018 in June, there's a chance that DICE has used that extra time to deliver a mesmerizing and different "
last man standing" experience.
EA has released a new trailer for
Firestorm, putting the spotlight on the mode's rules, core gameplay features, and map – Halvøy – reportedly the biggest
Battlefield map ever. At launch,
Firestorm will support up to 64 players in 16 squads in one match. Every crew will have the same main objectives – surviving and securing
Re-supply Points and
Vehicle Lockups that are strewn across the map.
Just like in every battle royale video game ever made, every soldier drops into
Firestorm empty-handed, with "
tons of loot to scavenge once they land, from the environment or fallen foes." But you will have to choose wisely, as you will get only two primary weapon slots as well as one sidearm slot.
With
Firestorm launching on March 25th, be sure to take a closer look at
