With PlayStation VR turning two-years-old today, Gearbox Software announced that their acclaimed 2012 title Borderlands 2 will be making its way onto the virtual-reality device on December 14th.

Borderlands 2 is an open-world action role-playing first-person shooter video game developed by Gearbox and published by 2K Games. First released on last-gen consoles (that being the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, as well as the PC), the game was later ported to current-gen (that being the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) with its "Pre-Sequel" in the Borderlands: Handsome Collection. Available on most devices, this will be the first time the game, and Gearbox, have ventured into the realm of virtual-reality.

This 14th December, PlayStation VR fans can look forward to the latest blockbuster experience to come to the platform with Borderlands 2 VR. Developed by Gearbox Software, Borderlands 2 VR brings the iconic shooting-looting world of Pandora to life like never before, as you virtually become a treasure-seeking Vault Hunter facing off against the galaxy’s most charming psychopathic dictator – Handsome Jack – with nothing but your arsenal of 87 bazillion guns. Pre-order today via PlayStation Store.

Along with the announcement came a trailer which features a bunch of gameplay - check it out below:
