Gearbox Software's PAX East 2019 panel will take place on March 28th and run from 2:00 PM 3:00 PM EST., as the Texas game developer has released a new artwork, suggesting that Borderlands 3 will be announced soon. Considering that the panel will feature "never-before-seen reveals, exclusives, and surprises" and the aforementioned poster is clearly done in the distinctive Borderlands art style (the corner of the image even lists "exit number 3"), it's not hard to guess what Gearbox's teasing.

Last month, 2K Games, the owner of the rights to BioShock, Mafia, and Borderlands, announced that an all-new, yet unannounced project that has been in development for quite some time now, will be released by March 2020. Given that the original Borderlands was one of the very first looter shooters, Borderlands 3 would definitely by an easy sell, as the genre has been insanely popular among gamers.

Borderlands 3 had also leaked right before the start of E3 2018 via a Walmart Canada placeholder, but it was one of those few titles (like the long-rumored Splinter Cell) that weren't confirmed at the expo.
