Fan-favorite map Nuketown will be one of the remastered maps playable in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's multiplayer, Treyarch announced in a livestream today.
"We are bringing Nuketown back for our fans," said Treyarch co-studio head Dan Bunting. "It's a map that we’ve reimagined every game. We're kinda going back to the cold war roots a little bit, but with a twist."
Unfortunately, Nuketown won't be ready to go at launch, but it will be free for all players when it does arrive. In the past, Nuketown has typically been used as a pre-order bonus or an a la carte purchase.
In addition to Nuketown, Treyarch also revealed four other classic Black Ops maps that will be remastered for Black Ops 4 and available at the game's launch. From Black Ops 1, we're getting "Jungle," "Summit," and "Firing Range." The map "Slums" from Black Ops 2 will also be coming over. In addition to updated visuals, each of the maps has been adapted for Black Ops 4 's gameplay.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is due out on October 13, 2018.
