Developer Sledgehammer Games has announced the next
Call of Duty: WWII event,
Attack of the Undead, which mixes the multiplayer and Zombies modes for a limited time. The event goes live with today’s new game update for
Call of Duty: WWII and ends on June 26. It's standard, as ever since
WWII was released last year, the game has received a brand new event every month or so.
Call of Duty: WWII's
Attack of the Undead time-limited event will feature three new modes:
- Infected: This mode will make its Call of Duty: WWII debut during Attack of the Undead, so be prepared to keep your friends close and your recently turned undead friends as far away from you as possible.
- Hordepoint: Hardpoint with an undead twist! Capture the Hardpoints with your teammates, then be prepared to defend them from your enemies as well as Nazi zombie attacks!
- Relic of the Undead: In this game mode you must hold onto a Nazi zombie head for as long as possible to earn points. Think of this game as Gridiron without any goals, or a deadly version of keep-away.
Attack of the Undead also adds seven new weapons, including the Nambu Type 2 submachine gun, the Stinger light machine gun, the Lever Action and PTRS-41 sniper rifles, as well as the Fire Ax and Sword melee weapons. The new Groesten Haus map makes its debut during the event as well. Take a look:
It's the Attack of the Undead! Zombies have invaded the Multiplayer battlegrounds of Call of Duty®: WWII, so it's time to fight back. This limited-time Community Event features three new Multiplayer modes that mix traditional gameplay with thrilling Zombie clashes, including the Call of Duty® classic, Infected. Captain Butcher is back, and he has new gear to help the fight: five new ranged weapons, including the high-damage Blunderbuss shotgun, as well as two new melee weapons, including the epic Claymore longsword. Earn free gear by participating in the Zombie Kill Community Challenge, and even try a new limited-time Multiplayer map: Groesten Haus.
The Attack of the Undead begins May 29 and ends on June 25.
