Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 was originally going to begin earlier this month on June 3rd. However, the launch was indefinitely postponed on account of the #BlackLivesMatter protests — as Infinity Ward and Activision didn't want to detract attention away from more important matters such as those.
Since then, dataminers have been doing their darndest to figure out when the fourth season will actually kick-off. Last week, it seemed to have been uncovered that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 will begin on June 9th — based on in-game files. Evidently, that didn't turn out to be the case. At least, not precisely.
Rather, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 is going to begin on June 10th at 11 PM PT. If you aren't aware, that's today (or tomorrow, depending on your timezone). Among a plethora of other content, Season 4 will introduce a new operator in Captain Price — who players will undoubtedly recognize from the game's campaign mode.
Other new content that will be introduced with the season include an all-new Battle Pass (and all of its rewards), new cosmetic store items, new playlists, new multiplayer maps, new Special Ops content, and new and exclusive content for Call of Duty: Warzone.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone are available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
