Here's an Alexa skill that can finally be useful for hardcore gamers. What are Alexa skills? They're essentially add-ons or apps that take your Echo or your Dot beyond the out-of-the-box functionality of ordering Amazon products and playing Spotify. There are currently 10,000 skills that can be added to your Amazon device, many of which are free- such as the Destiny 2 skill,
which you can enable by clicking here. Once activated, your Alexa device becomes connected to your Bungie account and your Echo or Dot recognizes when you're playing Destiny 2. During gameplay, you can ask Alexa to do one of the nifty things seen in the videos below. In a sense, your Ghost will become a real-life companion.
As a bonus, Bungie's also offering a limited edition, blue-tooth Destiny 2 Ghost speaker via Amazon (pictured above). Currently,
the speaker is being sold for $89.99 and ships on December 19th. The speaker essentially transforms your Alexa device's voice to sound like the Nolan North-voiced Ghost companion in the game.
