DESTINY 2 Will Reportedly Be "Completely Different" From The First Instalment

A new report not only reveals that the Destiny sequel is coming to PC, but that the direction of the sequel is going to be vastly different from what players have experienced thus far in the acclaimed first instalment...

Despite the fact that it's set to be released next year, very little is known about Bungie's Destiny sequel as of right now. However, a new report from Kotaku reveals that the title will indeed be coming to PC thanks to the help of Vicarious Visions. They're not the only ones lending a helping hand with the sequel though as High Moon and others are also involved in a bid to make the sequel feel entirely new.

Apparently, while Bungie bosses want Destiny 2 to feel like a true sequel to the popular first instalment, they're planning on pretty much starting from scratch and leaving all of the original content from the first game behind. The site compares this to the differences between Blizzard's Diablo and Diablo 2, while one source tells them that, "D2 is a completely different game." They add that, "The Taken King was a reboot for Destiny 1 to fix small things," and Destiny 2, "is the overhaul to fix big things."

That's an interesting approach, and one which means it's currently unclear whether or not players will be able to carry over their characters from the first Destiny (that's something Bungie is said to be thinking about at the moment). Are you looking forward to what they have planned for the sequel?
