There is a little over a month of time before gamers can get their hands on
Destiny 2. Bungie has promised that this will be a huge sequel to the game that has a gigantic folllowing. However, the Microsoft store posted a 29.15 GB download on day one, which is interesting considering intitial reports had the download at 60GB.
Yes, it is completely plausible that it is just a placeholder, especially since the PC and PS4 download sizes haven't been revealed yet, but if true, there shouldn't be much variation. Here are a few reasons gamers should be worrying and not worrying.
A year before the intial release of Destiny, Bungie scrapped the story line due to it being to linear. The game we eventually recieved was a chopped up mess that was about 30 Gigs. The first two Destiny expansions should have been part of the game at release, but instead Bungie made gamers pay for said content.
On the flip side, those who have been with the game since day one already know this and like Gamefragger's group, got more out of the game than we paid for. Altogether the Gamefragger team most likely racked up more than four months of gametime and that is lowballing.
As was mentioned before hand, it could easily be placeholder that could eventually end up being in the 60 GB range. There will be a lot of rejoicing should the game end up being 60+ gigs. Years 1-3 of Destiny provided 60 gigs of gameplay. There are already rumors out there that Saturn alone could be bigger than the original Destiny. Please be TRUE!
Destiny 2 will launch on September 6th for Xbox One and Playstation 4. PC gamers will have to wait till October 24th. Let us know what your thoughts on the
Destiny 2 file size below!
