With all the large amounts of information being tossed at gamers from Bungie. Bungie threw out a complete overview trailer for Destiny's next expansion the House of Wolves. Here is everything anyone needs to know about the next expansion!
Over the past three weeks Bungie has revealed the new social space in the Reef, the Trials of Osiris and The Prison of Elders on twitch. The turnout showed all the haters of Destiny that, yes, the game is still a hit and will be for years to come. Here is what Bungie had to say about the Twitch reveal.
The three-week livestreaming campaign to reveal Destiny's House of Wolves expansion has become the biggest game reveal of the year on Twitch.
"Based on hundreds of thousands of unique viewers, Bungie's recent series of Destiny reveals on Twitch illustrated the power of leveraging live social video to connect directly with a community," said Alex Mendez, Publisher & Developer Relations, Twitch. "Their Prison of Elders broadcast alone set a new Twitch record for the largest single game reveal of the year, peaking at over 180,000 concurrent viewers."
Hosted entirely on developer Bungie's Twitch channel, the three House of Wolves livestreams were viewed 1.5 million times with fans watching more than 21 million minutes of gameplay, according to Twitch.
Activision continued the buzz around "expansion" in the Destiny universe. Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said,
"We have a very robust content plan for Destiny starting with our second major expansion pack, House of Wolves, and then you'll also see content being dropped throughout the summer," Hirshberg said. "And then in the fall we will have a major release, which will be the biggest addition to the Destiny universe yet, across all modes of play. Unfortunately, I don't have more details than that today, but we're confident it's going to be incredibly appealing, not just to our current fans, but also to people who haven't yet joined the Destiny universe; it's going to be that big of an expansion."
This is all part of the 10 year plan Activision and Bungie had in mind when they first started the project together. Many gamers think that the game has to much grinding and find it boring. With all this new content coming our way, it will be hard to stay away from this game and hopefully it will overtake Call of Duty at the top!
