Another week at GameFragger is in the books. It is time for the weekly update. This week is a little different because we can talk about the 1.1.1 update that was implemented over the past week. Here we go!

Destiny

One of the biggest changes in the 1.1.1 update is the Mobile Vault system. No more going in and out of orbit to retrieve weapons and materials for upgrades from a computer or mobile device. There are many different situations that this can come in handy. Here are some of the examples taken from the Bungie Blog.

  • You and your buddies are finally all online at the same time about to tackle the Nightfall. That one player in your Fireteam realizes there’s a Solar Burn this week, and wants to retrieve their Ice Breaker from another character. No more waiting… tell him to grab a nearby browser.

  • You’re on the bus and want to manage gear between a couple characters. Use the app to move stuff around and jump right into the action as soon as you get home.

  • Oops, you’re halfway through the Daily Story Mission and realize you need that Fusion Rifle with Void. No worries, it’s just a couple clicks away.

  • You’re standing in front of Xûr and you’re two coins short. Your Hunter just completed the Weekly Heroic Strike and he has the extra coinage you need. Tap, Tap, Purchase.

  • You just unlocked that upgrade node and need just one more Shard… you get the idea.

Here are the weapon updates that could impact your next strike, nightfall or raid.

Auto Rifles

  • Reduced base damage of Auto Rifles by 2.5%

  • Reduced effective range values

Pulse Rifles

  • Increased base damage of Pulse Rifles by 9.7%

Hand Cannons

  • Slightly reduced effective range

  • Slightly reduced initial accuracy

Fusion Rifles

  • Widened blast pattern on a Fusion Rifle burst cone

  • Reduced starting ammunition in PVP

Shotguns

  • Increased damage against all non-Guardian combatants by 2x (100% increase)

  • Reduced high-end range values

  • Damage falloff starts sooner

  • Reduced starting ammunition in PVP

THE WEEKLY ADVENTURE... ISH.

It is time to vent my frustrations... does this sounds familiar: You are in the Crucible your team is up and you are in the top three of the team. The team is only a little bit with the end in sight. Victory is in sight when a teammate drops and the team is down a man. With only a few points until the match is over and another person joins. You finish second on the team to see the person who joined moments earlier get the only drops on the team.

The weekly nightfall was fantastic (for some of us)! The nightfall started quickly, but when we reached Omnigul (last weeks nightfall) we had a team member drop and I needed to leave in minutes. Here is the conundrum, do you wait for the other guy (TheHolyFragger) to join before you kill Omnigul (who was down to a sliver of health)? Or do you kill Omnigul and leave the other guy high and dry? I had five minutes left(after I literally ran out the door) when TheHolyFragger rejoined and we killed Omnigul. What did TH3KILLA77 and Jbest75 get? We got absolute crap! What did the person with connectivity issues get? Gjallahorn!!! Good thing I have three controllers cause one didn't make it out alive.

Bungie... please unlock the hatred you have for my account. Is it the name TH3KILLA77? I thought killing aliens was the name of the game. Is it because I'm not Dalton-ing (dying) enough? Suros, Vex Mythoclast and Gjallahorn have all dropped in the last week for my teams. Nothing but a legendary shotgun made its way to my inventory. When it is all said an done, however, I'm glad my team is upgrading the weapons on our raid team. Tonight I dine on the blood of Crota and Atheon ... provided he has blood!
