We've heard a lot of fans we kind of, well... very disappointed in the story telling of Destiny. Lets face it, the storyline is very weak in game. TerraMantis, or Steve, made an awesome fan made lore video using gameplay, the grimoire and other footage.

Bungie Blog. After watching it, I realized I knew nothing about the story line of Crota at all. I found that the video actually made the game more fun for me. I thought there might be others out there that might enjoy it too!
