Multiple leaks have seemingly confirmed
Fortnite will be released on Nintendo Switch at some point, but we never really knew when. The Nintendo Switch version of the game was expected to be announced tomorrow during Nintendo's E3 presentation, but now it looks like Nintendo will actually be releasing the game for the system as well. Leaked files from the Nintendo eShop have potentially revealed that
Fortnite will be released on Nintendo Switch tomorrow, June 12.
The leaked data mine, posted on Twitter, confirms
Fortnite Battle Royale will exist on the Switch as it does on other platforms, with no real distinct differences. We still don't know if the
Save the World PvE portion of
Fortnite will be available for purchase, however, as the listing only details the
Battle Royale mode.
As you can see, the leak also reveals add-on content that will be available for purchase. In addition to the V-Bucks, which is used as in-game currency to purchase cosmetics, it appears Epic will offer Nintendo players a Wingman Starter Pack. The contents for this remain under wraps for now, but it'll likely be similar to that of the
Fortnite Battle Royale Starter Pack on PlayStation, which for $4.99 includes 600 V-Bucks, the Rogue Agent Outfit, and Catalyst Back Bling.
As of right now, it's important to note, that neither Nintendo nor Epic have confirmed any of this. Neither company has even acknowledged a Switch version of the game. But, that will likely change tomorrow during Nintendo's E3 presentation at 9:00 a.m. PT.
