Fortnite Battle Royale's item shop has been updated with new cosmetics that celebrate the 4th of July tomorrow. The new "Stars & Stripes" bleeds red, white, and blue and is the perfect way to display your patriotism.

Featured in the store, you can find the Fireworks Team Leader Outfit which comes with the matching Blasting Cap Back Bling. This ensemble is available for 1,500 V-Bucks ($15) and is definitely a unique way to celebrate the 4th.

If you prefer a more traditional look, the daily items include the Star-Spangled Trooper (male) and Star Spangled Ranger (female), both available for 800 V-Bucks each.

And, of course, it wouldn't be 4th of July without some fireworks. While a recent update transformed the Grenade Launcher into a fireworks blaster, the new Sparkler emote - available for 200 V-Bucks ($2) - is a fun way to light up the area.

Meanwhile, over in Fortnite's Save the World mode, there's the new Freedom Herald Pistol and also some more Stars and Stripes Heroes. The Freedom's Herald Pistol launches firecrackers that bounce of walls and knockback and damage enemies in a small radius when they explode. As for our new heroes, we have Penny (Legendary Electro-Pulse) Constructor and A.C. (Legendary Trailblaster) Outlander. All of these heroes and weapons will become available in Save the World on July 4 at 8:00pm ET.

It's unclear if Epic has anything else planned to celebrate the American holiday, but right now players are much more interested in what the heck is happening to the map following the rocket launch. The entire sky is cracking and weird rifts are making parts of the map completely disappear.

Today's v4.5 Content Update also added the Drum Gun to Battle Royale. This new weapon offers the stopping power of a rifle and the fire rate of an SMG. It comes in Uncommon and Rare variants from floor loot, chests, and Vending Machines. It uses Medium Ammo, holds 50 rounds, and offers 26/27 base damage.
