Epic Games is rewarding
Fortnite fans who attend PAX West with a free exclusive in-game spray. And as expected, some fans are turning around and trying to make a quick profit from the exclusive in-game item.
A
quick search on eBay shows dozens of listings for the exclusive spray, which features
Fortnite's signature llama decked out with a gold controller, mouse, and keyboard. Bids for the spray range anywhere from $50 to $100. Assuming the third-party reseller website continues to get flooded with codes, it's possible the price could come down, but I wouldn't count on it. Given how willing gamers are to drop serious cash on
Fortnite's cosmetics, I think there will be no shortage of demand for these sprays.
Similar to other cosmetics purchased through the game store, this exclusive spray offers no actual gameplay bonuses or perks except to show off to your friends that you either attended PAX West 2018 or have the money to buy rare sprays.
The exclusive spray isn't all Epic has planned this weekend. The developer also
announced a special High Stakes event coming next week. The event will introduce the Wild Card Outfit, exclusive challenges, and the new Getaway Limited Time Mode which will be detailed tonight.
