FORTNITE High Stakes Event Coming Next Week With New Getaway LTM, Wild Card Outfit, And Challenges

Epic Games has taken to Twitter to tease Fortnite's next in-game event. The High Stakes event will begin next week and introduce the new Getaway Limited Time Mode, Wild Card outfit, and specific High Stakes Challenges. Epic revealed what appears to be the High Stakes outfit - a white suit and a white mask with a red heart on it.

Based on the name of the events and look of the outfit, it appears the High Stakes event will have some sort of gambling/casino theme for the event. This seems especially likely given the playing card symbol emojis. Meanwhile, the "Getaway" LTM suggests some sort of heist will be involved.

It's certainly intriguing and thankfully fans won't have to wait long for more details. Epic will offer the first look at High Stakes gameplay and more tonight at 6:00 p.m. PDT during a PAX West livestream on Fortnite's Twitch channel. The announcement of the new High Stakes event follows the release of the Ace Pack bundle, which includes the similarly themed Ace Outfit and a Swag Bag Back Bling filled with cash. This seemingly fits right in with the possible casino heist theme.
