Continuing the countdown to Fortnite Season 5, Epic Games has released another teaser image. This time it's a stylized axe that resembles a Viking or Scandinavian hatchet. Or it looks like something Thor might wield. In any case, it's a reminder that only two more days are left until the start of Fortnite Season 5.

The first teaser image was something that looked like a Japanese kitsune. It was accompanied by an in-game message that teased "Worlds collide." This would seem to suggest the upcoming season will somehow another universe melding with the current one - or perhaps time travel of sorts. It certainly seems to tie into what has been happening within the game over the past few weeks.

Since the rocket launched, numerous rifts have been opening up across the map. While they initially caused some objects to disappear, the past few days have actually seen strange historical objects phase into existence. First, it was a giant wooden anchor. That was soon followed by the arrival of a large wooden carriage. These objects have led to speculation of a time travel theme for Season 5, which today's image would also suggest.

We'll find out soon enough as Fortnite Season 5 begins on Thursday, July 12, at 1:00 a.m. PDT / 4:00 a.m. EDT. This leaves just two days to complete your Season 4 challenges.
