Earlier today, Blizzard Entertainment announced Overwatch 2. It's a sequel to the popular competitive shooter which initially released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC back in 2016. Overwatch only made its way onto the Nintendo Switch on October 15th.

Given that it took over three years for the first instalment to come to the versatile Nintendo platform, fans were unsure whether Overwatch 2 would come to the Switch. Thankfully, Blizzard Entertainment has now confirmed all of the platforms that they're developing Overwatch 2 for.

No information to do with release dates has been revealed yet but we do know that Overwatch 2 will be releasing for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and also the Nintendo Switch. As release dates haven't yet been announced, we don't yet know whether the Switch release will be a bit delayed in relation to the game's launch for the other platforms.

For example, The Outer Worlds recently arrived on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC but won't arrive on the Switch until next year. At the moment, we can only presume (and hope) that Overwatch 2 will presumably release for all of the aforementioned platforms at the same time.
