Blizzard Entertainment kicked off November and BlizzCon 2019 by announcing
Overwatch 2 —
with an awesome animated cinematic and exciting gameplay trailer which you can check out below.
The sequel will retain all of the content of the first instalment, including the competitive PvP gameplay, whilst also introducing even more fun stuff — such as co-operative PvE content and story missions. Heroes from the first
Overwatch game will be returning with updated designs but new ones will be introduced as well — such as Sojourn who prominently featured in the aforementioned trailers.
It seems that Blizzard are cooking up some new heroes behind the scenes right now as a new report by
Game Informer has revealed intriguing details about four unannounced characters. As well as Sojourn and Echo, who have been previously announced, the site were shown silohuettes of four heroes that are yet to see the light of day.
According to the report, one of the silohuettes featured a crooked staff which resembles that which a wizard, warlock, or voodoo priest would wield. That would certainly be an avenue that the
Overwatch hasn't yet ventured into — magic.
Another of the characters had a furry companion at their side which apparently looked like a fennec fox. Unlike what you may have expected, the animal wasn't cute but rather fierce and aggressive in its stance. The character herself had short hair and wielded a four-sided melee weapon — which sounds similar to Brigitte's mace.
The other silohuettes seem to have not been as memorable as; those are all of the details revealed in the report. It's good to know that
Overwatch 2 will feature at least four new heroes — beyond Sojourn and Echo.
