Overwatch might have only just arrived on the Nintendo Switch but it has been available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for three years now. It might soon be time to roll out the red carpet for a sequel (via Game Rant).

Earlier this week, Blizzard Entertainment shared the full schedule for their upcoming BlizzCon 2019 event. What was most interesting about the schedule was that it had multiple unspecified and mysterious time slots. As for what will be shown off during these time slots; the most likely candidates are Diablo 4 and the rumoured Overwatch sequel.

Not only has "Overwatch 2" been rumoured for quite a while now but multiple reputable leakers seem to be confident that the game will be announced during the upcoming BlizzCon event. For example, Metro_OW recently tweeted that the game will absolutely be shown off after an animated cinematic. We'll have to wait until November 1st to find out if that's true.

If the word of leakers isn't close enough to confirmation for you, some seemingly legitimate pieces of promotional artwork have surfaced online. Both feature the same logo — confirming the game to be Overwatch 2. The first image features Tracer wearing a new, modern-looking jacket and goggles. The second features Genji and appears to be a Japanese promotional tie-in with Coca-Cola.
