Ahead of its arrival this week, Blizzard has released a trailer showing off Overwatch's brand new deathmatch map, Petra.

Arriving this week during the Overwatch's 2-year anniversary event, Petra is themed to look like an excavation site and preservation project for the ruins of Petra. As a deathmatch map, all of the heroes will face off against one another until one hero scores enough eliminations to win. The trailer below shows off some of the map's features.

Take in Petra’s majestic views, from high vistas to twisting passageways and deep caverns. Travel along deadly cliffs, but be careful to not fall off! A dilapidated bridge stretches across the map, and the ground underneath it can crumble away to reveal a lethal pit. Hopping on a green jump pad will boost you up to Petra’s higher levels and unlock new strategic possibilities for you...

Overwatch's 2018 Anniversary event begins Tuesday, May 22, and brings much more than just the Petra map. The event will introduce more than 50 new cosmetic items alongside the re-release of all seasonal cosmetic items from the past two years. Additionally, previous seasonal brawls (including those found in Overwatch: Archives) will be playable and rotated daily.

The Overwatch 2018 Anniversary event runs through June 11.
