After a two-month hiatus, Rust is bringing back Twitch Drops with a new event themed around popular streamer TheBurntPeanut. The “Peanut’s Wasteland” Twitch Drops campaign runs from April 16 at 6:00 PM ET until April 27 at 1:00 AM ET, giving players nearly two weeks to earn four exclusive cosmetic items by watching Rust streams with Drops enabled.
This is the first Twitch Drops event of 2026 to feature a content creator collaboration, and it offers a fun, straightforward way for players to grab free themed skins without spending any money.
How to Unlock All TheBurntPeanut Skins
To participate, you must link your Twitch account to your Steam account in advance. Once connected, simply watch any Rust stream on Twitch that has Drops enabled (most large channels will have them active during the event).
The rewards unlock progressively based on total watch time:
- 2 hours — Peanut Rock
- 4 hours — Peanut Sleeping Bag
- 6 hours — Knights Of The Bungus Garage Door
- 8 hours — Peanut L96
You do not need to watch a single continuous stream. Time accumulates across any qualifying Rust streams during the event window. After reaching each milestone, claim the reward from your Twitch Drops inventory, and it will automatically appear in your Rust inventory the next time you launch the game.
Tips for Earning the Drops Efficiently
- The event runs for 11 days, so there is no need to grind all eight hours in one sitting.
- Many large Rust streamers will have Drops enabled, making it easy to find qualifying channels.
- You can leave streams running in the background or on a second device while doing other activities.
- Make sure your Twitch and Steam accounts are properly linked before the event starts to avoid any claim issues.
The Peanut-themed cosmetics fit TheBurntPeanut’s fun, meme-heavy personality and should appeal to both his regular viewers and the broader Rust community looking for fresh, free cosmetics.
With the April Twitch Drops finally here, players have another easy way to freshen up their base or loadout with exclusive items. Whether you are a longtime Rust veteran or someone jumping back in after a break, these four TheBurntPeanut skins are completely free and only require a bit of watch time.
The event ends on April 27, so be sure to get your eight hours in before the window closes. Happy farming, and may your drops be plentiful.
